Documentary Plan
May 31, 2008 · No Comments
As I look through the footage and edit more, my plan may change, but here is what I am thinking so far:
Open with quick montage of action shots:
- CU hands glueing
- Putting in steering wheel
- Moving top of car
- Person sitting in chassis
- Hai-Yue using drill
Introduce team members:
- Name, age, and major from each interview
Shot of the team working on the car
Start VO of Hai-Yue explaining how he started the team, then cut to visual of Hai-Yue interview.
Cut to: Justin driving chassis and hear Kathy talking about the grant they received.
Show clips from the interviews explaining why they joined the team.
Cut to: Kathey explaining pink bubble
Show more atmosphere clips.
Show clips from the interviews about how this project helps the environment.
Cut to: Shot of team working on car.
Show clips from interviews about global warming and if college students hurt the environment.
Cut to: clip of Justin in chassis talking about sitting in the sun.

Editing
May 31, 2008 · No Comments
I started editing the footage on Wednesday. There is a lot of stuff to get through. I organized the clips so that the interview footage is in a bin, scenery shots are in a bin, and random footage is in another bin. Having the clips organized makes it easier when i’m editing. I got a little bit done, but there is still a lot to sift through.
